If you spot a pothole, water over a roadway, a downed tree or a broken street sign in unincorporated King County, who do you call? Not Ghostbusters. Call our 24/7 Road Helpline at 206-477-8100. We have staff members available to answer your call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Sometimes we’re asked, “Why can’t I just email Road Services or post my concern on one of your social media channels?” You can contact us through email or social media channels, but they are not monitored 24/7, which can be a problem if you are reporting a potential safety issue that may require immediate attention. In addition, calling the 24/7 helpline enables our operators to ask you follow-up questions, which will better inform our road crews about the location and nature of the issue.

When you call the 24/7 helpline please have this information available:

  • Your name.
  • Your address and phone number. It’s important that you provide a contact number in case we need more information.
  • The location of the problem, including the nearest cross street and/or address.
  • A description of the problem.
  • Any other important information that may need to be relayed to the crews about the area or the problem.

Here are the 24/7 numbers: 206-477-8100 or 1-800-527-6237 (1-800-KC-ROADS). You can also visit our 24/7 helpline webpage. Most important, don’t hesitate to call.
